Based in Sevenoaks, Kent, a2d architecture is a RIBA Chartered Practice and draws on their experience from a wide variety of past projects of differing scales, disciplines and resolution to deliver contemporary and unique design solutions to clients across the globe.

Darren graduated from Birmingham School of Architecture in 1994 and moved back to Frankfurt to continue work on many varied retail, residential and commercial projects, including new concepts for Deutsche and Dresdner Banks, Sixt and Eurotel. Returning to London in 1998, Darren worked for BDP (2 years) on various European shopping centers and Gensler (3 years), helping to set up their first central European satellite office in Amsterdam in 2001, notably working on workplace projects for AOL, Lehman Brothers, Global Centre and ABN AMRO. In 2003 Darren spent 2 years as in-house architect for Nike, helping to design and roll out 5 new retail concepts across Europe.
As joint founding member of a2d architecture ltd. in 2005, Darren is involved in every aspect of the company, particularly responsible for Retail and Workplace development, assisting both Nokia and Vodafone in their global retail roll-outs. His specialties lie in concept design, detailing and project delivery. Darren is a keen hockey and squash player and an active member of several local sporting committees.

Graduating in 1998 from Brighton University, Olivia worked on several large scale Retail and Regeneration Projects at BDP, London in sites include Chapelfield, Norwich and the Royals, Southend.
In 2001 Olivia moved to the Netherlands, working on high profile Residential & Corporate Office projects with Aukett Europe and Hollandse Nieuwe. After returning to UK in 2004, Olivia worked for Smith Carodoc Hodgkins, London, notably completing 20 new residential units in Covent Garden for The Mercers Company.
As joint founding member of a2d architecture ltd. in 2005, Olivia has been involved in all aspects of the company and is responsible for developing the Residential arm of the business. Olivia’s specialties lie in local permissions, building codes and site administration.
BA(Hons), Grad Dip, RIBA, ARB
Completed his Part 1 and 2 before graduating with a Distinction in a Masters of Advanced Architectural Design at UCA Canterbury.
Previously worked in south east England before entering a 3 year residency in a large practice in the north of England focussing on Residential, Commercial and Community projects.
Joined a2d in March 2014 and qualified as an Architect in December 2014.
Experience includes the delivery of architectural services from brief to practical completion on projects covering several sectors, including Residential, Master-planning, Commercial, Hospitality and Health for both public and private clients.
In 2011 Matt was the creator of the eccentric architectural installation ‘lighten up’ at Chatham Historic Dockyards and has been invited to present his work in places such as Westminster, Pines calyx and Ankara, Turkey.
Matt is also a keen artist, film director and the bassist of UK band Memoreve.
BA(Hons), Grad Dip, MA Arch, RIBA, ARB
Graduated in 2012 from the University for the Creative Arts with a BA in Architecture.
Matthew has freelanced as a graphic designer producing work for the likes of Childreach International and the NHS, contributing to both internal and national level campaigns. In 2015 he became involved with the Turks and Caicos Preservation Foundation, producing visualizations for building restoration on the island of Salt Cay.
He has a keen interest in cinema and enjoys writing fiction in his spare time.
Matthew joined a2d in October 2016
Graduated in 2012 from the University of Patras following a 2-year master degree in the Technical University of Delft, Netherlands.
Adam has been providing architectural services for multiple sectors including private hotel chains, educational institutes, architectural competitions and the military. An assortment of his personal work has been featured in architectural magazines.
He has worked for a variety of practices including: (2012) Andreas Angelidakis and (2015) Klab.

Fully understanding the requirements and forming a detailed brief are the keys to success. A strong, aligned design ethos will inform all other parts of the process. We can then prepare all the plans, details and renders, apply for permissions, even help choose the contractors and attend site. Our attention to detail means a seamless transition from concept to reality.
